Bastinado

Although it is said to have originated in China, Bastinado is a European name for a form of punishment especially common in Turkey, Persia and China.  It consists of blows with a light stick, cane, rod or other such corporal punishment aid, upon the soles of the feet.

Bastinado is known as a form of torture because it is really painful. The human foot has a lot of nerve endings and numerous small bones and tendons. Affecting them with whipping makes this quite a severe punishment. Another advantage of bastinado is that it leaves no visible marks on foot skin.

The subject of bastinado punishment is usually restricted with bondage or other types of BDSM equipment. Different forms of stocks and racks are used to hold a slave’s feet in a fixed position while the strokes are  applied.    An upside down suspension pose is also commonly used for bastinado punishments.

Bastinado has been used as a form of school corporal punishment in many countries. It is now very popular in BDSM culture and lifestyle. Classic bondage action along with femdom training using bastinado as a form of slave punishment is an extremely effective way to keep your slave in line.

Foot whipping is effective due to the clustering of nerve endings in the feet and the structure of the foot, with its numerous small bones and tendons.
